1. Every team/participant must register at least 1 day before the event through email at kshitiz10@ishanfamily.com. 2.Every team/participant must report to the registration committee 1 hour before the event starts. 3.Participant must carry a valid college id-card in order to participate. 4.Any participant found guilty of any sort will be excluded from the entire program. 5.Teachers are not allowed to participate in any of the events. 6.Every institution should have a group leader as well as a faculty in charge. 7.Every team should carry an authorization letter from the institute, clearly mentioning the names of all the team members. 8.All the team members must abide by the rules and regulation of KSHITIZ'10. 9.Non participants must carry gate pass. 10.The decision of the jury members will be final.
The Last Stand (Debate).....up Topic :Good Qualification ensures success in Life
1. Every Team shall have 2 participants - One in favor of the motion and one against. 2. Maximum two teams shall be allowed to participate from each Institute. 3. Each speaker shall be given a maximum of 3 minutes to speak followed by 1 minute of interjection. AD MAD Show.....up 1. Team size can be from 2 to 5 2. A maximum 2 teams are allowed from each Institute. 3. The Advertising Products shall be given on the spot. 4. Jingles, songs, gestures, and dialogues can be used in the campaigning of the product. Team effort is encouraged to make the show more attractive. There is a scope for team's creativity, wit and humor. 5. Each team shall be given 15 minutes for preparation and 3 minutes for performing. 6. Inappropriate gestures and language will not be entertained and shall lead to disqualification. Solo dance (Western).....up 1. A Maximum of two participants shall be allowed from each Institute. 2. The performance should not be of more than 5 minutes. 3. Innovative steps, Energy, Stage coverage, Expressions, Costumes, Overall impact will be the criteria for evaluation. The participants must carry all the materials and costumes required for the dance. Solo dance (Bollywood).....up 1. A Maximum of two participants shall be allowed from each Institute. 2. The performance should not be of more than 5 minutes. 3. Innovative steps, Energy, Stage coverage, Expressions, Costumes, Overall impact will be the criteria for evaluation. The participants must carry all the materials and costumes required for the dance. Antakshari.....up 1. A Maximum of two teams shall be allowed from each Institute. 2. The team size will be of 2 participants. 3. There will be 5 rounds. 4. Rules will be made clear on the spot. Ishan Idol '10.....up 1. The participants must get registered for themselves by filling up the prescribed form on or before 21st February 2010. 2. There shall be 5 Rounds, first being the Elimination Round. Round I: Every contestant shall sing his / her own choice of song. Round II: Every contestant has to sing a regional/folk song of his/her own choice. Round III: Contestant will choose partner and will sing a duet song. This shall be an elimination round. Round IV: Every contestant has to sing a song on the clip shown at the screen or a on the spot tune played by the orchestra Round V: This round is based on judge's choice for the final selection. Group Dance Competition (Western).....up 1. Only one team is allowed from an institute with a team size of 6 to 8 participants. 2. All the dance material, dresses etc has to be brought by the teams themselves. 3. The dance can have any theme. 4. There will be an elimination round followed by the finals. 5. Time allowed for the performance in the elimination round shall be 7 mins.(including the set-up time). Group Dance Competition (Regional).....up 1. Only one team is allowed from an institute with a team size of 6 to 8 participants. 2. All the dance material, dresses etc has to be brought by the teams themselves. 3. The dance can have any theme. 4. There will be an elimination round followed by the finals. 5. Time allowed for the performance in the elimination round shall be 7 mins.(including the set-up time). Stage Play (Skit).....up 1. A maximum of 12 members in a team are allowed and only one team is allowed from each Institute. 2. Every team must submit the theme of skit to the organizers at the time of registration. 3. Every team shall be given maximum of 18 minutes for presentation including the time for stage arrangement. 4. Participants must bring all the necessary requisites for their presentation. Only 2 chairs will be provided, if required. 5. There shall be only one round. Business Quiz Competition.....up 1. A maximum of 2 members in a team are allowed and only one team is allowed from each Institute. 2. The quiz will be based on General and management Topics and Corporate affairs. 3. There will be 5 rounds, wherein the 1st round shall be a written qualifying round. 4. The decision of the judges will be final. Exposition de risa (Laughter Challenge).....up 1 - 2 members in a team are allowed. Maximum of 2 teams are allowed from an institute. 3. There shall be 1 round in the competition. 4. Performance on one's own theme, for a maximum of 5 minutes, is expected 5. Kindly bring all the required props and materials related to your performance. 6. Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification. Mr. & Miss City 10.....up Eligibility Criteria : 1. Age :18 - 25 years 2. Min.Height : 5 feet 7 Inches (Mr. City) 5 feet 3 Inches (Miss City) 3. Marital Status : Single There will be five rounds in all 1) Introduction Round (1 min) 2) Western Round 3) Traditional round 4) Talent Round 5) Final Round (Question 'n' Answer) 1. The Candidate has to send their colored post card sized photograph of full length and close-up along with the entry form. 2. The participants are required to get them registered on prescribed registration form by paying nominal fees of Rs. 100/-latest by 23rd Feb 2010. 3. The candidate is bound to follow the guide lines laid by the organizing committee time to time. 4. They have to report to the venue three hours before the start of the program i.e. 4:00 pm 5. Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited. 6. It is expected that the participants will maintain a conducive and friendly attitude. 7. One participant can bring two members with them as audience. 8. If any participant directly or indirectly tries to influence the jury members, nomination of his/ her shall be cancelled without stating the reason. 9. In any unavoidable circumstances the management may shift the venue date and time of the program. 10.The judgment of the jury shall be held final & the participants shall have to abide by it.
Chess Not more than 2 participants from each institute are allowed. Table Tennis a. Single (For boys/girls) - Maximum of 2 participants from each institute. b. Doubles (For boys/girls) - Only 1 team from each institute. Volleyball One team from each institute (Only men). The decision of the Referee shall be Final. Choreography It's a Theme based dance Performance. You may chose any of the following themes : -Politics -Environmental Issues -Unity in Crisis -Role of Media -Social Issues 1. Only 1 team from each institute is allowed, having a maximum of 6-8 members. 2. Performance must not exceed 6-8 minutes. 3. Performance will be judged on portrayal of the theme, storyline, coordination and overall presentation. 4. Pre-recorded music is allowed and should be brought in aCD/DVD or a pen drive in .cda or .mp3 FORMAT only. (Other Formats may not be supported on the computer - use them at your own risk). Make my Product .....up Got creativity and business acumen? The teams will have to develop customized products based on the terms and conditions offered to them. They can be age,sex,price range, time period etc.Say a product for a 10 year old girl in a budget of Rs 500?The teams will be given 3 hrs to prepare their presentation. The teams will be judged on the basis of their presentation, content, group efforts, innovative ideas. Team members : 2-3 Maximum 1 team from each institute is allowed. Biggest Liar .....up Rules: Dramatic storytelling in English/Hindi. Prepare an obvious elaborate lie and convey it to the audience via storytelling. Cover each and every small detail because your lie is subject to cross questioning. Standup comedy or mimicry without a storyline is discouraged. Enact an elaborate and an obvious lie in Hindi or/and English with its complete background and detail. Any other language is not allowed. Enacting the characters throughout the story should be an integral part of your performance. Example Obvious lie - I stole Taj Mahal yesterday. Un-Obvious Lie - I failed in class 10th. Eliminations: The participants can perform a very short part of a lie. Time Limit: 2 minutes (including setup, if any from the material provided) Finals: The finalists are free to choose a new lie for the finals, or perform a longer version of the lie enacted in the eliminations. It will be followed by cross questioning on your story. Participants have to defend their lie by providing satisfactory answers. Time Limit: 5 -8 minutes (including setup, if any from the material provided, excluding the Q&A session) Production material provided: 1 table and 1 chair Participants are not allowed to bring any other production material. However, certain props may be allowed on the discretion of Kshitiz Team'10. Costumes appropriate to the story are allowed, but not a compulsion. Also, note that the time available does not permit multiple costumes, and hence they are not recommended Any kind of fluid or flame is not allowed on stage Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Judging Criteria: Storyline Details, Acting, Presentation, Portrayal of characters, Voice modulation, Flawlessness of narrative, Overall impact. Act on Call : Miming with narration .....up One participant will narrate a story from back stage, and one shall mime the story being narrated on stage. The actor on stage can play multiple roles. FORMAT - This is a narrative + miming event. One of the participants will be back-stage narrating a story. The other participant will be enacting the same story on the stage. The actor on stage is not allowed to say any dialogues. Lip sync is also discouraged. The actor on stage can play multiple roles. ELIMINATION : Perform a summary or a relevant part of the play, bringing out the essence of the play. TIME LIMIT : 3-4 minutes. FINALS: Perform a complete version of the same play. TIME LIMIT: 6-7 minutes Production material provided: 2 chairs and 1 table. Any other production material has to be brought by the teams themselves but the organizers hold the discretion of allowing it on stage. RULES: Performance should be in Hindi or English or both. No other languages will be allowed. Performance can consist of multiple scenes and may have blackouts. Pre-recorded music is allowed and should be brought in a CD/DVD or a pen drive in .cda or .mp3 FORMAT only. (Other Formats may not be supported on the computer use them at your own risk). Any kind of fluid or flame is not allowed on stage. Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification Time Limit should be followed. Participants will be penalized by judges for not doing so. The decision of the judges will be Final and binding. Participants can bring the production material and props required for the play themselves. But allowing them on the stage is the discretion of the organizers. Participants can have live music, however no amplifiers or plug points shall be provided for the same JUDGING CRITERIA: Screenplay, Expressions of the actor on stage, Voice modulation of the narrator, Direction, Script and Overall Impact. Deja Vu -Daily Life Quiz .....up One day. Twenty four hours. Twenty three thousand breaths. Each of which is a window to the world. How much do you know about your toothpaste, your TV, the local train or your car? Here's a quiz we all can ace! A quiz in which there is no expert and there is no newbie! Are your eyes peeled wide enough for you to beat this test ? Only 1 team from each institute can participate. A team shall comprise of 2 members. There shall be three rounds (no eliminations till the finals). Decision of the judges will be final. Business Proposal Competition .....up 1. Only 1 Team from each college comprising of 2-3 members is allowed. 2. The team has to present a complete business idea of their own which is within a budget of Rs.20 lacs. 3. They need to cover all aspects of a business starting from basic investment till proper execution. It should include pricing of the product/ service they are offering, budget allocation, marketing strategy, clientele and all the other aspects involved. 4. Innovative ideas, creativity, presentation and other aspects would be given weight age. 5. Team must bring a printed copy of the same on A4 sheets. They must also support their presentation with a PowerPoint Presentation. 6. Maximum of 10 minutes will be given to each team for their presentation followed a short session of questions from the judges. 7. You must register by 22nd Feb.'10.
